Frequently Asked Questions — Drain the Lake wiki art

Does Drain the Lake have codes?

No. As of 2026-07-08 the game has no code redemption system and no working codes, and no official channel has published any. Ignore lists that show code strings for it — they are copied filler. If Lotus Arts ever adds codes, the announcement will come through their X account or Discord.

How do you get your phone back?

You keep draining until the water is gone. The lake drops through six checkpoints — Shipwreck, Cavern, Mineshaft, Molten, Lost City, and the Abyss — and then the phone appears as a shimmering object at the very bottom. Interact with it to finish the game and earn the Find My Phone badge.

What is the difference between Tokens and Gems?

Tokens come from pouring buckets and buy Skill Tree upgrades, but they reset every run. Gems come from chests and badge rewards, buy buckets at the lobby station, and persist between runs. Some guides call Gems "Diamonds"; it is the same persistent currency.

What is the best upgrade order?

Buy Token Income first so every drain pays more, then Bucket Capacity for fewer trips. Add Quick Drain once your income is strong, then Diamond Rewards if you want Gems faster. Most players save the Character movement branch for last because deeper water shortens the walk anyway.

How do you avoid the Shark?

The Shark hunts players in the middle of the deeper water. Drain from the shoreline instead — the bucket reaches well past the edge, so you keep the same fill rate while staying out of range. If it does catch you, you respawn at your last checkpoint and earn the Shark Bait badge.

Is Drain the Lake free, and does it have gamepasses?

It is free to play and currently has no gamepasses at all — the first-party Roblox store for the game returns an empty list. There are no paid Gem packs either. Gems come only from chests and badges, so every player is on the same economy.
